2023 Fashion Trends you can make your own

I’ve paid attention to the season’s most popular trends and some trends I’m glad are making a comeback; but when you are in your 40s, you can’t exactly wear them all. So far, we’ve seen Rosettes making a big comeback, fringe, sheer, silver (or metallics), low rise jeans, cargo or utility pants, maxi skirts, leather, denim on denim, oversize blazers, animal prints, loafers, pointy toe and kitten heeled shoes, the colors red, magenta, pastels and cobalt blue…phew! I think that’s most of them, at least those are the ones I can think of right now. I’m passing on the sheer stuff right away or anything showing cut out and you definitely will never see me in a pair of low rise jeans. I didn’t like them in my 20s and I don’t care for them now.

When I get dressed, I like to plan my outfit around one trend, something I already have in my closet as we all need to be sticking to a budget these days. Today was a cool day in New Jersey. I wanted to wear my cobalt sweater. Felt bold, so I combined a few trends to spice things up a bit I mixed colors and styles.

I’m wearing a cobalt sweater, multicolor maxi skirt, fringe pastel bag and magenta sandal heels.
